UK first for Med Imaging Healthcare

Another first for Med Imaging Healthcare’s dental division

Thanks to Med Imaging Healthcare, Glasgow Dental Hospital has become the first in the UK to have an OP300 Maxio installed. The change comes as part of their ongoing programme to make patient assessment and treatment processes shorter, whilst reducing costs.

The product is described as the most comprehensive 3-in-1 platform for maximum imaging capacity for entire maxillofacial region. Among many new features, the OP300 Maxio has five quality optimized (FOV) sizes offering flexibility to choose between different resolutions; high resolution; standard resolution; or Low Dose Technology™ resolution.

Sector Superintendent Radiographer Murray Crichton said: “The team have just completed their training, but already we are seeing fantastic results.

“ Patients will benefit from the efficiency of the OP300 Maxio, enjoying reduced waiting times, whilst the five fields of view with one dose is undoubtedly a key feature in terms of reducing patient exposure.”

Med Imaging Healthcare director, Tim Dickinson added: “I’m delighted the team and patients at Glasgow Dental Hospital are already appreciating the features of their new installation.

Treatment plans can now be made with confidence using Low Dose Technology™ (LDT) making it ideal for sensitive cases such as children, follow-up, even implant planning or any other case where high resolution is not necessary.
